Snow in Montana in June?

I was woken up from sleep this morning by what sounded like snow being blown by my bedroom window but I totally refused to believe it. I laid there for a few minutes trying to figure it out and finally had to get up and look. Sure enough-snow. And lots of it. There's about 3 inches so far and the wind is really blowing hard. My first concern was for the horses. They've shedded off all of their hair and don't have any way to get out of the wind. I quickly bundled up in all of my winter clothes and went out to feed early and check on them. They were literally standing there shivering so I threw them hay right away. That's how they produce warmth in their bodies. I'll check again when it gets light out and if they haven't warmed up, I'll have to figure out how to get them inside. They'll survive but I'm not sure about all of my outside plants. Everything was looking sooo great with all of the rain we've had but this weather will probably kill them. I'm bummed!

That is crazy that it was snowing there!! It has been unseasonably cooler here too, but all that means is that its 100 instead of 115! LOL So much for summer, huh? At least for you. Looks like we made it out of Missourri before the serious weather got there, too.

I'm sending you an e-mail with all the latest :D
